iced- thanks for putting those links up. i'm a member of asha and i had read a little bit about asb's in other disciplines, but i guess i just never looked into it that much? i didnt realize that they had a program to recognize asbs in other disciplines like that. anyways, even tho i personally dont have an interest in hunt seat, it's great that people will hopefully be recognizing that asb's are a great well rounded breed.
everyone(lol. since u kno...the other part u couldnt read? j/k.)- wow so i really want to try dressage & extra bonus if i can find a saddlebred that does it! of course that in no way takes away from my love of saddleseat b/c i will always be a true saddleseat girl. lol. its too much fun not to love.

I ride dressage a few times a week and it is fun, but not as much fun as saddleseat. I really like the way you control the horse and the connection you share with the horse. I like riding it to music and doing a kur! Oh, and the movements are really cool like piaffe and passage.

dessage is too... hmm.. whats the word im looking for... quiet? yea dressage is too quiet for me. Its just not for me... i do like jumping tho.. thats something i have always wanted to try. My friends walker is an amazing jumper, so i ride him for her sometimes and I take him over a few jumps, lol. I also love barrel racing, and of couse saddleseat, lol. Macho, i agree with you about riding to music, haha. I always got the radio near by when im riding, and if not, im singin to my horse, lol.

No problem! I think the upper level dressage is what is exciting to watch (lower level stuff is...face it, pretty boring) I also love to watch musical freestyles. There is a website somewhere where you can watch a ton of different ones...it's from a guy who designs the music for them. I'll post it if I can fnd it again.

We have a channel on my satellite dish..where like on sunday's they show dressage stuff. I love watching it. If there was no saddleseat..I would love to ride and be involved in dressage. It looks to graceful and elegant. I would love to be that intune with my horse too.
