haha..yeah, some of those yr kids...I agree it is really annoying that everyone thinks ss is abusive, but every ones gonna think something..lol. I blame the magazines. The only ss related articles in most of them tells all the the awful things the ss riders do, and how abusive it is...maybe if they could write about how ss is NOT abusive, more kids wouldn't be the way they are being..

Lately I have just been sick of YR. It has gone down the crapper. Like everyone fights, they all complain, and run to Sally for EVERYTHING!! IDK..she deleted one of my posts because someone asked for the CBC link and I said "here ya go, I hope you join, cause you'll love it!!" She said I was advertising..haha right.

It's REALLY hypocritical to say other disciplines are not as difficult and try to defend Saddle Seat.
First of all, you can't rationally defend your opinion through comparing a few lessons in that discipline compared to years of Saddle Seat. You're obviously going to be more advanced and gain more experiences over the years.
Second of all, even if you DO have a lot of experience in each one...it's still comparing apples to oranges. You might not like math class, but it doesn't make it any better/worse than english class. Each serves a different purpose.
Thirdly...the American Saddlebred Horse Association is making huge strides in marketing the Saddlebred as a versatile horse. Let's not ruin this by bashing the disciplines that we are TRYING to earn respect in.

I think its great to see Saddlebreds in other disciplines. It puts out a good name for our breed. Lately Ive been learning to watch what I say, because I know that if someone bashed my breed or discipline I would be extremely pissed off. So its like the golden rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Although Ill always have my opinions about huntseat, Im learning to keep them to myself. But sometimes its hard onYR...oh well..
