lol, i have no choice with the crimps, Chi's mane is naturally curly, it hangs in ringletts when its wet...at our last show a lady came up to me and said" Wow, his curls look great!, Did you do them?"...i was like nope...hes just a curly lil guy.

Cheap Solution: (Becasue i know we all need one! ) If you wash your horses with Dawn, it makes them 30x's as silky because it has a natural dirt/grime remover. It works really well and I don't have to spend $10 for a bottle of shampoo that I don't even know works lol. It also works great fopr white horses and white socks on show days! Just wondering, can you really blow dry their tails? I always thought that would make them really dry and brittle...

LOL, ooo good tip with the dawn, Laura...can you HONESTLY see me trying to hang onto Chi as he attemps to eat the straightener?? PLUS with hsi texture of hair...it would turn into just a HUGE straight AFRO!

Lol, sometimes we straighten the hair if needed. But we cross tie them and they don't go anywhere!

My mare barely has any forlock at all (it's so tempting to shave it off, but since she's a NSH, I would get into BIG trouble). And it always gets in the way, so I straigten it, and spray it with hairspray. It's the kind of hairspray that still leaves a natural look to the hair and gives it some bounce. I can't stand it when people spray hairspray all over the mane and tail! Looks like it would break off at any minute.
Back to the tail extensions. I showed a Morgan for my friend a few months ago, and he has a really thick tail that can wrap around his body once. The showmanship judge stood there for five minutes, pulling on the poor guy's tail, looking for an extension. It was hilarious.

I would LOVE if Cookie's tail was like that!!! Heck, we have to use 2 tail switches!! along with his brace since he has to wear his brace in Park. And this is the funny thing!! Cookie absolutely LOVES his tail brace!!!! Crazy!!! But yet, a good thing!! That's hilarious about the judge in the showmanship class! I would have been laughing my butt off!!!
