Sometimes there are some people at my barn for lessons, but most of the time I ride by myself or with my mom, dad, brother, or sister.

lol Yeah, most of the time I'm ok with patterns, but if we get one in a class or at the end of a lesson, I never like to be the first one to go, cuz when I learn something I either have to see someone else do it, or do it myself, I can't just have it explained to me. I'm more of a visual learner I guess lol I think my least favorite would have to be sandwich figure 8's

At my barn, I have one private lesson a week, and one group. No one else in my family rides though. My dad and sister and I are going to Montana some time this summer to visit my aunt who has horses so they'll definitely be riding ;D

emily, ur sposed to be visualizing the pattern as she says it, thats why she says it twce and thats where the visual learning part comes in lol! i actually like figure 8's like that on a horse that does circles....ive chosen to embrace patterns withmy new found love of eq.! lol

Practice is the mother when it comes to patterns...once you get the basics down and have an instructor that can grill you on all the minor things (counting strides, nailing center points, formalities of the "best" way to do it, etc) they're a blast.

I love patterns, Lol! I must be weird because it seems like most people don't like them, or in Ashley's case, they simply F them up! I practice patterns a lot, it's a lot of fun to do it to music.
