well i just meant in the non saddleseat classes they might think that but then again u have the fake ss....but u'll be great! deep breaths emily!

If the judge has any clue how to judge, he'll know what you are doing. If you're not ocmfortable doing it, then don't.

well i think he would know that you arent trying to stop when you dotn make motion to stop..and plus you have a bit of time to get the timing right between each gaits!

yea, id didnt do them because i never was stopped where i could. I just let him slowly wind down..lol worked purty well

A few steps is ample time for a horse to "wind down" if they're collected --- there's nothing worse than a thing that keeps getting slower and slower and slower...just walk already. Most horses will lose motion and/or collection and it's just not pretty. It takes a long time to be able to create your own spots...and with the right horse you can sort of push the issue a little bit

yeah i agree too..but ive never ridden a horse that looses its collection at a slower pace. and before they say "reverse" and im in a bit of people i usually cut across the ring to a clear spot.
