OK, i just read the tips thread again, and i was suprised to see that you are supposed to finish the long side of the rail before you make your transition...i dont really know if the fake saddleseat jduges around here would look kindly on that, because might it look like you dont have control...since im dont post..ti would just look like i kept going...

I'm doing it at 4h. -shrugs- If it were me then I would do it but you arent me lol so lol um yeah!

I only do it on the horses that need the extra room and so the judge will see my beautiful transition.

yeah i also think its looks better. it makes me cringe when i watch people not do it because it has become a habit for me, even in my lessons i do it. its also helpful if you have a horse that wont walk, because most horses if their really fussy will walk a circle instead of walking straight, dont ask me why but it works with my psyco boy. so the turn helps them walk.

the turn definitely helps me to get angel walking, if i transition in the middle of a long rail then that's basically class suicide for me

You can do it on a hunter if you absolutely need to, but primarily Saddleseat riders do it.
