YAY! thats exciting! I would buy the pad because, its hard to find a saddle that fits PERFECTLY so a pad (even when showing) can help reduce any little pressure that the saddle may cause...and the cutback one can be used when showing
ALSO, about the girths, why do the white webbed girths damage your saddle? I had never heard that....but i school in a non stretchy girth, could that damage my billets?

the white web girths have no give on your bellets when the white web girth with the strechy material on the end have give and is less likely to break them i had a white web girth and i just bought a new cutback last year and ive all ready had to replace the bellets because the web girth broke them , they were really really thin and you know i didnt think anything of it and my trainer took my saddle and gave me hers for a week to get mine fixed she said that i wasnt riding in my saddle again till she got it fixed

I like leather girths with elastic and also neoprene girths for training.
