For a gaited CP class, whats the ideal headset...i ask because like at the jubilee Chi did SOO well..with a very low headset...so is it just not important to be high and tucked..(please refer to the pic to see his set) because his nose is vertical kind of..but his head is lowwww..i dunno i just cant seem to get him to raise and tuck!!

I like the way he looks when he holds his head higher.

Please look at this topic for more info on overchecks: cutbackchat.proboards36.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=problem&thread=1121569390&page=2I personally would never use an overcheck on your horse because he doesn't have that long neck and hinge that it will really help. On horses that don't have the correct conformation to use it, it tends to just make their mouths harder because they'll lean on the bits since they can't carry themselves correctly without the braced effect it has. The links don't work for me, otherwise I'd try to suggest something else.

I agree. If your horse isn't built for an overcheck, you can cause more damage than good.

well you can do whatever you want..you can get a bitting rig, side checks, over checks, you can ride him in draw reins, you can get a german martingale, or a running martingale..all work pretty good its just a personal preference but i lik ebitting rigs with over checks and side checks..
