Okay I have been riding Mr. H's gaited mare for him well she used to be gaited but I would never gait her b/c she HATES it ever since this one girl Gina rode her into the ground doing nothing but racking her. So I haven't slowgaited or racked her. So yesterday Mr. H was watching me work her and he was all lets go into the hallway and slowgait her. I was like oh cheese and crackers SHE HATES GAITING! So when he asked me too I asked her correctly at first and she reared up and everything so then Mr. H got out the lunge whip and would crack it at her hocks and she would bolt down the hallway FREAKED OUT! So then he said well if she isn't going to rack she needs to be a 3 gaited horse and when I heard that and I knew she would be much happier that way...whenever he asked me to slowgait or rack her I would do it wrong so she wouldn't get frustrated and he wouldn't hit her with the whip! My friend hannah who works there with me was all WHY DIDN'T U DO IT RIGHT! and I was like b/c I have a heart and know there is something about gaiting that horse doesn't like and it's probably hurting her. Now ever since she's been really jumpy and scared I'm like the only one she trusts

Good luck with her and I hope she works out. I think it was a good idea for you to make her seem like a better three gaited horse so that she will be happy.

Well he's been riding her and she's doing a lot better. I think she's starting to like gaiting again. And yes he's being a little more considerate. She's a really cute mare and there is this lady that shows arabs that has been coming over and riding her (you know to ride a saddlebred) and she racked her and fell in love....she really is interested in her....I think she might buy her......YA FOR ROZZY!!!!

Thats great, and really great of you for what you did, even though you weren't directly addressing the trainer/owner, you still made a difference, a good difference in that horses life in some way. I sound like a Disney 'happily ever after' movie(lol), but it was in honesty.
