down to the question my farrier said that if i cant get him into a running walk that he could put some weight on the back feet and he will improve but i dont want weight on the back Well i had the same issue with Rebel, i felt like at times he was more pacing then doing the running walk, so we put heavier shoes on his back feet. Okay first off let me say this, he looked like he was walking in freggin high heels, lmao! But also, they actually didnt work for me! He was very choppy and it was more like he was trotting. So we took them off and just left him with the front shoes on (before he had no shoes at all) and now he is gaiting just fine. But maybe it just depends on the horse... but the heavier back shoes didnt work for me personally. ;D
