kk, my TWH X Piper (love of my life) sometimes slips out of her running walk/rack(lol, still trying to figure out which), SO i saw her motuh when i ask her to rack and that seems to work! NOW down to the question. We dont know anything about her past(she was saved frum slaughter), so i am wondering if she was used for something like SS or just was pleasure. SO NOWW, i swear this is the question, haev you ever heard of gaited horses being taught to rack when u saw and squeaze?

Does she rack better when you "put" her on the bit? If so, this is a very common way of riding a gaited horse. Normally they will gait better the faster they go and the tighter they are held. So, to answer your question, Yes! ;D We actually have a horse that speeds up when you pull on the reins and slows down when you let go. He is very tricky to ride.

Most of the TWHs that I ride are trained that way and it can be a pain in the butt!

lol! thanks, i was just asking if holding them in and "playing" with their bit was a common way to ask them to rack, but macho answered that!
