Just got back from the GJ in Lexington VA. Chi showed great, but a lot of people thought the judging at the show was not too wonderful.
We got 4th in EQ and 1st in Barrels (WOOHOO!!) and 2nd in showmanship (out of 2..dont ask, Chi ended up on the opposite side of the ring he had moved so much). However, we didnt pin in a single Country Pleasure class, bummer, but Chi did perfectly ecpect for one very important thing..flat walking...Chi got sooo hyped up in the classes that he could not flat walk..so i had my reins really tight and it didnt look too pleasurable.
Anyway, the show was fun, only 3 ribbons but I think that the judge really didnt like Paso's because there were three at the show and not a one pinned in a pleasure class. My freind's paso is perrfect and the judge barely looked at him. But, what can you do. Im proud of Chi and i learned a lot and had a really great time.

Congrats!
It bothers me when judges get prejudice against certain breeds or diciplines. It makes me want to go up, ask why, then laugh in their faces when they can't give an answer.
