What are everyone's show plans for the 2006 season? I know it's really early, but I'm already starting to think about it.
I think Misty's going to get pads put on and her hoof grown out next year, but we'll still keep her in Country English Pleasure. I'll be showing her at 4-H, State, and little Arabian shows here and there. Mostly pleasure, equitation, and native costume classes with some western thrown in for fun.

^^ ya I was wondering the same thing?!
as for next year..I was hoping to get Kap back into double bridle training. But Im not sure what is gonna happen cause there is a crisis at my barn. Hopefully things will work out..I pray they work out. But if all goes well, then Kap will be in training, get his show shoes put back on in the spring, and we'll show on the local circuit. Nothing major, just some plain and simple, happy go lucky shows.

I am going to be doing a lot of schooling shows during the winter months to prepare for the new show season. I am planning on 4H, State Fair, Equestrian Team, SPUR of the Moment Horse Club shows, some Walking Horse Associated Shows, and maybe some Racking horse shows. I am going to be showing a lot in hunters, western, and gymkhana this year too. I am going to try for the Celebration, but I don't think we will make it until 2007.

I am so excited for next show season to start. I'm not 100% of all our plans for the year but I know our first show will be at river ridge, and we plan on taking our fine harnes horse to louisville, lexington, kansas city and hopefully shelbyville... And then of course we'll be doing the local shows around Michigan and Ohio like the mhsa spring show, ASHAM, springfield, twin rivers and so on... But I can't wait!

I don't have my show horse anymore. I am looking to buy a new one and have plans to do local shows like EMAA and SCCAHA to see how they go. I also have to train my hunter horse for show. I hope things go well and I can make it to class A. My trainer wants me to do more academy, but if there is no compettion i'll skip them and do the arab circuit. I might have to train my other horse for lead line too. It's hard to find a good horse thats all around. Maybe i'll do some gymkhana for fun. I can't wait, I have all my dates and am putting them on the calender!

Of course we'd like to hear! So youve retired Rebel now? Are you going to still ride him on trail or something or does he get to just play in the field now?
