I know it's a little late, but I haven't been able to get on lately. Stupid geometry teacher...anyway, Misty and I went to our last show three weeks ago. It was an Indiana Saddle Horse Association show, and most of the classes are for TWH and Arabians/Half-Arabs. Mist and I were in seven classes, and we won five out of the seven! The other two were a second and a fourth, and I was amazed. It was a really calm little show, but we had a ton of fun. We saw one Saddlebred there, and I think his name was Rothchild; big chestnut gelding, very pretty.
Misty won Half Arabian Conformation, Half-Arabian Flat Saddle Pleasure, Arabian/H-A Native Costume, Academy Saddleseat Equiation 14-17, and Flat Saddle Pleasure (Riders 18&under). We got second in Arabian/H-A Flat Saddle Pleasure and fourth in Open English Halter.
Has anyone else got to some ISHA shows?

well i had my last show on saturday...it didnt turn out quite like i had expected but oh well. i got 3rd in equitation and 5th in pleasure. the judge took forever!! it took like an hour to go through 4 easy classes. the first judge asked for a REALLY long walk..and kappy does not walk!! so that blew my chances in pleause. and in equitation i have no clue what happened, my trainer(and other trainers) said i was perfect, and that i had 1st in the bag..but idk. well learn from your mistakes and move on...thats all i can do. sorry i just had to vent (and i could continue but i wont..lol)

thanks! all in all it was a good show, but im glad the show season is over..now we changed kappy's shoes, to egg bar shoes to help his feet. and boy did they make a difference. in a matter of 3-4 days he came out looking perfectly sound. that is such a relief to hear!!

Yeah, Misty just had her shoes pulled last week. She's barefoot right now, and living it out in the pasture. Her former owners never gave her a winter vacation, so when we let her out in the field, she looked like a baby learning everything all over again. lol
