ok i was at a horse camp last week for 3 days and it was kinda like a 3 day clinic and i was talking to a girl and she said that pride does a running walk in the front and is pacy in the back... thats not possible is it?? and she said that he back end needed to be spread out with shoes in the back end... how do you spread a horses back end with shoes and if its not done right ive herd that it can lame your horse... back to the question its not possible to have a horse pacy in the back end and not the front...

I've heard of a pacy type horse, but I don't know if I have worked with one that did half and half. I know horses that will canter in front and rack in back and vice versa, but not pace like you said. I would talk to a trainer and farrier to use some corrective shoeing if he needs it.

Adding weight to the front will help smooth out a pacy horse, so that is a good idea. I don't think many horses do it, so it's uncommon.

id say your horse needs a heavy trailor..a trailor is like a plantation shoe but it wings out on the outside of the horse..theres like a left and right shoe. its a walking horse back shoe.

Trailers are used for helping the horse kinda flip is lets out a bit more to have a little bit more fetlock action. You only use them on the back feet though. How mucha re u putting on Pride?
