Has anyone heard of Gayle Lampe? she shows saddlebreds and has written a couple of books. She currently teaches at WWU. Anyway it seems like people have different opinions about her, so i was wondering what you guys thought. I mean some people dont like her techniques but then again she won at some really huge shows. I saw her ride at WWU and she made this really nervous horse look amazing (untill that point id never heard of her), so i have to respect her riding. Although i have to say that there are some things that i dont agree with, i wont rant on though unless someone knows who im talking about lol cuz that could get kind of awkward.

I know that she won the title in the ladies’ five-gaited championship on Callaway’s Born to Win in 2003. That's about all I can remember.

I forgot to add that I have her book, it's called Riding For Success. I liked the book a lot.

wait you got to see her at the show? thats soo cool. she seems nice, its kind of funny though b/c when shes at WWU and is planning on riding everyone finds out and they're all out getting the horses that she wants to ride ready. Anyway another reason that i posted the topic is that one of the horses at my barn that i really like is being leased from WWU and i believe that she showed him at some point. He's kind of crazy now though and no one at WWU wanted to deal with him, some people at my barn have said that it was cuz they started showing him too early and now hes just really sour about riding. i also feel bad for him b/c even though i know it doesnt bother him or really matter, he had a really long tail and i guess that gayle lampe wanted to use it to make one of those tail extensions so it got cut off and idk i just feel like all of his pride is gone now lol.

well luckily for the horse at my barn, his tail is growing back, but the chances of it being the way it was before arent very good b/c it hadnt been kept up very well before he came to my barn. At WWU, we watched her winning class on video and it was pretty cool, but funny b/c callaway's born to win is such a small horse compared to the others.

That's sad. Did she cut the whole thing off or leave some long hairs for flies? To get it to grow, try MTG by Shapley's. That stuff works wonderful!
