ok sorry I'm not even going to bother reading everything... But here are some tips me and my instructer have been talking about not just for pleasure but yeah
If they say to go to a walk when you are at a trot or canter and you and on a long rail finish trotting to the end of the rail but not the short rail.
If they say turn around and trot you start trotting at the direction you are going then cut across the middle.
If the judge isnt looking and your horse is acting up feel free to get him under control (well not like beating him or anything..)
If your horse wont walk or slow down and the judge isnt looking do a small circle to get control of him
Ok well I can't think of very many right now (but I know so many..) so I might post some later..

hahaha...anything is allowed if the judge doesnt see you!!!!!!
now ashley has a question :-)
alright well when you are trotting or cantering and they call for a walk and if you are on a turn/corner do you finish till you are at the end of it and same as the straights??

yes a question i can answer "alright well when you are trotting or cantering and they call for a walk and if you are on a turn/corner do you finish till you are at the end of it and same as the straights?? " well if you are coming down the rail and say they call to go down to a walk and you are in the middle of the rail, keep going until you reach the beginning of your turn and then do your down transition. but if you are already into your turn and they make the call, its kinda up to you...but if youve already completed the turn and are starting the straight away keep going until you reach the end. this is called 'finishing your passes'

I gotta add to this.
OK, lets say that it is you and 2 other horses bunched together, if they go, I wouldn't. I would not finish the pass so I could stay by myself and hopfully out of trouble. It is not an everytime sorta thing, if ya know what I mean.

lol about what stardust said about thats why we do that when the judge isnt looking, my instructor doesnt like us doing the circles period, she doesnt care if the judge is looking or not b/c she doesnt like the way it looks and thinks it makes me look bad to other people, but again like i said, i think it looks better than flying down the side when the announcer calls for a walk
Ashley: i dont have good ring manners either, my attitude is kinda like well psh then u get outta my way, inconvenience ur own self cuz im perfectly happy where i am, it usually works cuz ppl generally stay away from me lol
